The New School

The New School wanted to redesign the way students navigate and search for information on their library website as well as alleviating the stress of having to purchase reading material at third party shops. I conducted interviews with the student body and created wireframes on how we could incorporate the new brand guidelines with The New School site experience. We worked with NYU on connecting to their library database into ours and began pulling data and cataloging publication information on what books were available for a given category.

The second task was the development of the E-Reserves application. We wanted students to stop paying absorbent amounts of money to copy shops and created an application that hosted all class reading material for free. Upon rolling out the application, it has grown to hold over 20,000 optical character recognized (OCR) documents as well as hosts thousands of videos to stream to students for free.
